Pros
Company has good benefits, matches 401k pretty well, health incentives for insurance discounts, participates in Healthy Lives program (opportunity for cash bonus yearly). Overall branches are well maintained, corporate staff friendly, systems for branch use pretty easy to use. Went through re-branding while I was there so it was a time for a lot of changes, as we also had recently got a new President. I enjoyed the people I worked with most. They do let you apply for other open position after a set time, but you have to have your manager sign off on it (I have seen that put a target on some peoples back). Pen Air was still overall, better than other banks I have worked for in the past.
Cons
Branches are often short staffed, you are pushed to be crossed trained, push sales and opportunities to provide members products, but you are not compensated for doing multiple jobs. Financial institution pay is pretty awful anywhere when you are on the front-line. Getting time off could be difficult at times depending on the branch and number of staff. The branches seem to have a very high turn over rate, as it is an entry level position.
