Pros

Nothing good about this place

Pros

Decent compensation for the area and field Performance-based raises Great potential for overtime Reasonable dress code in direct care Milestone recognition for length of service Occasional gift incentives The ability to easily transfer to different locations Great entry level job for anyone patient and level-headed that can pass a background check and get a Childline clearance Choice of scheduled or flexible hours based on position Thorough training and periodic recertifications Good vision, dental, HSA and other secondary benefits Optional additional certifications can be completed through the Career Ladders program Job security is great if you work in direct care

Cons

Supervisory positions are not compensated enough for being on-call Counterintuitive technology and timekeeping choices can make getting computer work done a little difficult You may be pulled to work in unfamiliar locations if a house desperately needs staffing Depending on staff reliability, hire rates and staff retention, there's potential for being under-staffed Health insurance providers change semi-frequently and current benefits aren't great if you cannot easily meet four-digit deductibles PTO recently changed to earn as you go instead of the old hire date anniversary payout, making it harder to plan time off
