Pros

I can’t think about any pros.

Cons

Don’t be fooled by the flood of fake 5-star reviews, as they don’t reflect what actually happens at PermitFlow. The two founders are clowns that have no idea of what they are doing. In the past six months alone, PermitFlow has hired and fired people at a disturbing pace. They constantly overestimate incoming work, rush to hire, and then lay people off when things don’t go as expected. It’s not just poor planning, it’s careless. People are uprooting their lives, committing to the company, and then getting blindsided when leadership decides to “pivot” again. To make matters worse, the company is now trying to boost profits by pushing more work onto a few full-time employees while outsourcing as much as possible to cheaper offshore labor. It’s a race to the bottom, and the people who stay are left exhausted, unsupported, and burning out fast. Work-life balance is nonexistent—and frankly, they just don’t care. It’s painful to watch talented people be set up to fail because leadership doesn’t know how to build a sustainable or respectful workplace. Stay away from PermitFlow.

Pros

Ability to work remote and friends out of the journey

Cons

If you like being micromanaged, ignored, and treated like a cog in a machine, PermitFlow might be your dream job. The culture is painfully rigid everything runs top-down, and “thinking for yourself” is basically frowned upon. Playbooks rule everything, and deviating from them (even if it would make things better) is a one-way ticket to being sidelined. There’s zero interest in feedback or actual collaboration. Leadership hands down processes from their bubble, with no clue how things actually work on the ground. After a while, the work just becomes robotic—and that’s kind of the point. You’re not here to think. You’re here to follow instructions. And yes, it really does feel like you’re being watched like some kind of test subject in a lab. They track everything, obsess over the tiniest details, and act like optimizing every second of your day is more important than trusting you to do good work.

Pros

Free lunch provided for days in the office

Cons

Leadership is out of touch. There was a clear lack of direction and awareness from upper management. Strategic decisions often felt reactive and shortsighted. Team morale was extremely low. High turnover, unclear goals, and constant scrambling made it hard to feel motivated or supported. Questionable product-market fit. The service is trying to solve a problem that many in the industry don't actually have, or don’t trust a tech solution to handle. It felt like a solution in search of a real problem. Poor communication. Cross-functional collaboration was weak, with product and sales often misaligned. No real career growth. The environment didn't foster learning or mentorship, just survival.
