Pros

Over the past few months, there were increasing conversations around AI transformation and leaner engineering structures. I hoped my contributions would be enough, but during a recent meeting I was informed that my position was being eliminated as part of restructuring. The news was difficult to absorb because most of my time had been focused on deliveries, production fixes, and keeping systems stable. Looking back, I should have invested more effort into newer AI-assisted development practices instead of staying comfortable with familiar technologies. For anyone in tech right now, continuous learning is becoming essential. Standing still for too long can quietly put careers at risk. As painful as this moment feels, I’m trying to see it as a push toward better opportunities and new beginnings. I personally liked the process and that was a surprise for me. I would love to come back and work if there is an opportunity again.

Cons

The abrupt transition in AI has forced the Companies to a tailored budgets to shrink the resource cost and infrastructure.

Pros

After spending years mentoring teams and leading projects, being informed that my role was impacted by restructuring was emotionally exhausting. Leadership explained that the company is prioritizing engineers with deeper AI-native architecture experience. Initially, I felt frustrated because experience and consistent performance used to feel like enough. But the reality is that the industry is evolving faster than traditional engineering paths. To others facing similar uncertainty, don’t underestimate how quickly technology expectations shift. Staying relevant now requires active effort, even for senior engineers. I’m hopeful this transition eventually leads to something more aligned with the future.

Cons

As a company Phenom was always supportive , I was groomed in the right direction , I have not taken the advantage of being a part of skilling initiatives taken by Hr , and that affected me .Brothers and Sisters dont miss the opportunity when company is providing.

Pros

Markets are facing one of the toughest periods in recent memory, and companies that don’t evolve risk fading away. I learned that lesson the hard way when I found my name on a layoff list. At first I was upset and angry — I had believed that strong execution and reliability would protect my role. Over time I accepted that this is part of the business cycle and a signal to change. What surprised me was how much adaptability matters alongside performance. I’m grateful to my company for the way they supported affected colleagues: the financial assistance package was fair, and healthcare benefits continued for a period to help with the transition. A word to anyone working in technology: don’t wait until disruption hits your role. The pace of change demands we be proactive about learning and reskilling. The faster we adapt, the more resilient our careers will be

Cons

Focus on Hybrid model which can be a benefit for the company and the employee.
