Pros

In my case, the atmosphere in the team and the fact that workers' rights were respected were definitely on the plus side - overtime could always be collected or was reliably paid after a certain period of time. The company did not force employees to stay after hours and individual opinion was always taken into account. The office itself and its facilities I evaluate as positive as possible - at the disposal of employees were a gym, a relaxation room, a well-equipped kitchen on each floor. The company also periodically organized various events for employees. On the plus side, I assess the training courses, which in my case gave a lot. On the positive side, I also appreciate the possibility to work hybrid and, by appointment with the TL, to do their business during working hours and then work off that time. I rate the benefits package as typical for this type of company - Medicover, insurance and an additional paid MultiSport card.

Cons

Spontaneous addition of duties, which one finds out about at the very end, usually by accident. Teams overloaded with work and intimidated by what they will find in their mailboxes in the morning and whether there will be a scandal about it. After several years of working here, I have noticed that the only constant element of this company are the employees at the lowest level. Management, and with it the management style, can change several times a year. I think I have never had, and probably never will have, so many successive bosses during my work at Philips. The management itself is also very unassertive, they involuntarily agree to add new tasks, where there is no question of increasing the staff (except perhaps with students, which ruins the psyche of young people at the very beginning of their professional career), because the most important thing is savings. If there are vacancies for higher positions, people from outside with little experience are usually hired or through acquaintance with decision-makers. If a decision is made, it is based on the principle of a split personality, because after a month the concept changes or there is surprise that it was supposed to look different than it was imagined. The salary that Philips is able to offer you is no longer impressive, a few years ago it was possible to talk about competitiveness in Łódź. Currently, it is such an average, as much as you earn during recruitment, you will have for the next few years. Cooperation with other departments takes place on the basis of pushing and denunciations, affectionately called escalations.
