Pros

My first couple of years were great at Philips. Great products, work life balance was awesome. Then came a new CMO.

Cons

New CMO was let go of B2B of a big shampoo company that she loves boosting about working at. When you ask the industry - they say she killed the business. She reorged the marketing department and they are now losing 2-3 people a week. Every person who had talent and history realized they were cut off and being forced out by the new CMO and left. The culture is awful - everyone talks behind each others backs, it is a woman's club (teams may have 10 women and 2 men on a business that sells men's razors!!), and all fun employee appreciation events were canceled. All career paths were cut and succession plans were let go.

Thank you for taking a moment to use this platform to share some thoughts on your first years with us, and some thoughts on the years after just on before you moved on further in your career. It is definitely regrettable to hear that you feel a lot about the culture has changed in in a negative way. Please know that our teams do read the feedback on here - so they can refer to it at a later point when needed, and look into it. Thanks again for sharing your open and honest view on the situation.

The Outsourcing Circus

Pros

401k match. Also for those of you who are totally incompetent you can keep your job for at least a year before they can get around to firing you during the next wave of outsourcing.

Cons

Extremely top heavy organization with no vision and constant organizational changes, which create massive amounts of work and frustration. No growth or internal promotion, just consistent cost cutting and outsourcing. Near 100% certainty that your role will be outsourced eventually if you are in the procurement or accounting/finance groups. Company has been brutally mismanaged for years and will be facing the music for the coming years. If you like answering idiotic emails all day and cleaning up never ending messes this is the place for you!
