Pros

I’ve been working for PlanetArt for more than 10 years and have seen the company grow and change. I’ve worked in various department within the company which has made the work interesting and challenging. The company is always striving to improve their products and welcomes and invites employee suggestions. The managers and coworkers are all friendly and helpful.

Cons

In the web to print department your work days and hours can change depending on the time of year so you need to be flexible. Because the offices of different departments within the company are spread out and you’re busy with your own tasks, there is often little interaction with people in different departments. However, the company does schedule special activities during the year so you can get to know people in other departments. Although Management does hold meetings to update the employees on the company’s growth and future goals, more updates would be helpful.

Thank you so much for the great feedback. We love hearing from our long-term employees! We understand the challenges that the office layout brings and we do our best to bring everyone together as much as possible, but we will continue to work on keeping our employees updated and bring them together as often as possible. We appreciate you taking the time to share you thoughts.

Love Working Here

Pros

I’ve been here for more than a few years and can still say that it remains a place of challenge and adventure. Leadership’s ability to “think outside the box” and to take risks keeps it an interesting place to work. The culture here is diverse and with the varied backgrounds and ages – it all makes for a good mix and interaction.

Cons

We work in a bit of a "silo" environment - various departments are scattered throughout the building and we lose a sense of being connected. Management tries to remedy by having events throughout the year to bring everyone together. This helps but it would serve well for us all to be in one place!!!

Pros

The company has a very relaxed, .com feel to it. No dress code, which is amazing. I love working with my coworkers. Everyone is very chill, easy to talk to, and loves what they are doing. Upper management is very approachable and friendly. The company offers a very generous employee discount, paid vacation time, paid sick time, floating holiday time, medical, dental, and vision. We offer paid training upon hiring. The company is fairly new, so there is always room for advancement in customer service, or to any other department in the company. The company has annual events such as company picnics, chili cook-off's, and Halloween costume parties to help "blend" the different departments within the company.

Cons

If you do not grasp on to the training material or knowledge of the products, management will not hesitate to terminate your employment. The company is very fast paced, so it is very important to be a quick learner, and able to adapt to change quickly. If you cannot; there's the door. Very strict attendance policy. No grace period for clocking in for your shift. If you're a minute late, YOU'RE LATE, and will be marked for it. No unpaid time off.
