My biggest con with Planful is the general sense of dishonesty from the upper management and C-suite. The People team spends more time soliciting these raving 5 star Glassdoor reviews and votes to earn another workplace accolade than actually monitoring the dysfunctions of the organization. Upper management is extremely disorganized, and passes down responsibility to middle managers and individual contributors, holding their performance under intense scrutiny. There is NO accountability for execs here. It's essentially a glorified boys club. After acquiring their MPM product at the end of 2022, the company tanked and they laid off multiple rounds of people. Looking at the Planful careers page, many of the roles that are posted were ones that they laid people off of not even a year ago, and mind you, most of the layoffs were not performance based. (or at least that's what the employees were told)
In all fairness I have not worked for Planful for several months, but the business was going downhill (not hitting goals for the first time in years) so I would be cautious about the outlook over the next year. They have demonstrated that they are willing to cut and re-add roles within a several month span, not making it a stable place to be if you are outside of sales or support.
