Pros

CEO is fantastic! Cool products. Work/Life balance.

Cons

Not much room for growth. Top-heavy organization. Upper management gossips a lot; talks badly about their team to other people. Egos. Pay isn't competitive, which is needed in the tech industry in Austin.

Pros

- Great place to start your career - Management is very flexible with PTO, sick time, personal appointments - Good health benefits and 401k matching - Lots of nice people - CEO is a nice guy and great speaker - Work/life balance is manageable for most - Good selection of food trucks recently - In-house IT is very helpful and responsive

Cons

- Hard to grow into the role you want; management pushes you into the role they want you in - Lack of project planning, attention to detail, and quality is a big issue - Discouraging that equal counterparts in other countries get more vacation time, better benefits - Company facing same business issues they're trying to solve for their customers - Wages are not competitive; new hire salaries tend to be higher than seasoned employees - Management does not mentor - Need to hire more thoughtfully - Management is hired from outside instead of giving qualified current employees the chance to move into those roles - Not all management is professional and respectful of all of their employees - Departments and teams are silo'd - New hire process needs help - Need to look at numbers instead of what management thinks is best - Lowered morale and increased negativity is making the work environment more toxic - Non-smoking areas around parking garage are not enforced - Parking is crowded so many park in front visitor spots

Pros

The company is making some strategic moves to become THE leader in the market by a larger margin. They are already the arguable leader but with targets on their back for sure. You can definitely get job security by working hard because they will recognize those who are good and give them a lot of responsibility. If you put even partial effort in, you won't ever get fired. Often there are "left overs" (from executive meetings) in the kitchen which if you happen to be on the side of the building closer to the email servers you might get some good food. If not, scraps. They do randomly have food brought in from company meetings or try to do an off site party to celebrate a good quarter or year. Free sodas, keurig coffee machines and 25 cent vending machine Flexible in terms of work/life balance

Cons

Staffing is not keeping up with growth. Resource overload is running rampant and there is no culture to speak of. Too focused on growing the product stack that they don't try to attract and retain good talent. They take advantage of their hard workers by giving them so much work and no back ups. They don't believe in "hit by a bus" mentality. Most of the mid-level managers are a joke and some of the poorest performing staff there. Bad performance is never addressed. Focus from upper management is hard because they are kept so busy putting out fires and the next strategic initiative that they are on their phones in meetings or consistently late or never show up.
