Pros

A lot of thought was put into the architecture of the product that I'm working on. My team does all pair programming. Work-life balance is important to the entire team Unlimited vacation policy - vacation time is encouraged. My team has an architect who dedicates 1/2 of his time to my team, and we have another architect who has been very available to meet with. I've worked some places where there either is no architect, they are so busy you never see them, or they have been architecting so long that they forget how to really develop anything. I love my team. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

Cons

My team spans 4 timezones from Eastern to Pacific. That can make pairing a bit more difficult at times. In a few months, I expect to get put in the on-call rotation once a quarter. (Not that much of a con - but none of my previous employers had to on-call) There were some layoffs prior to me joining, and there's still a weird sentiment going around about them. Again, nothing really bad. There is just a bit of awkwardness on occasion.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on Glassdoor. I’m thrilled to hear that your experience at Pluralsight has been so positive. I believe the people who work here provide an unmatched culture of collaboration and support. I’m glad you’ve felt this sentiment within your team and leaders. I’m also pleased to hear that you feel as though you have a good work-life balance and that you’ve enjoyed the unlimited PTO policy. I hear your comment about the sentiment post lay-offs. We’re excited about our new product strategy and have a committed senior leadership team to help make it a reality – you’ll hear more about this in 2024. Thank you for your dedication to Pluralsight!
