Pros

Former benefits were great - unlimited PTO is nice but who knows how long that will last....

Cons

-100% health insurance coverage changed and new employees who were hired under the guise of these staying the same were bait & switched as they're going away in 2022. -Leadership is not empathetic to the impact their decisions have on employees and clearly do not care about employee retention in any way. -I have NEVER witnessed such disregard to employee wellness. -A sinking ship, do NOT join.

Vista Equity Ruined Pluralsight - Do Not Work Here

Pros

The people who were here before Vista are still good people. They're the only thing I like anymore.

Cons

Where to begin. Vista Equity came into PS and cut everything to slash cost. We just lost our 100% health insurance premium coverage, ESPP and equity plans, stock compensation and are about to raise the prices on our Skills product which is being beat by competitors pretty easily. As an employee, my morale has never been lower as this is a company that sucks the life out of me due to constant pay cuts, lost benefits and zero trust with upper management. "But hey, we have unlimited PTO and a brand new cool building!!" Yeah, and nobody really cares about that. Everywhere has unlimited PTO, and we all know that employees that have unlimited PTO actually take less time off. The building is nice, but let's be honest here, nobody wants to go into the office post-covid. Pluralsight is a laughing-stock and will go down the drain in the next few years. But hey, at least the have that super cool black building on the hill!

Not what it used to be by a wide margin

Pros

Unlimited PTO with a 1 week summer break Excellent work life balance Beautiful headquarters (if that’s your thing) Equity retained (for existing employees with pre-acquisition equity)

Cons

I joined for the mission, have stayed for the mission, but can’t see it anymore. The learner is rarely mentioned, being completely brushed aside to talk about enterprise, sales, and really all things money related. Since the acquisition there have really been no tangible improvements to an employee’s experience at Pluralsight. We understand that Vista would like to one day make a return on their investment, but their strategy for making that happen seems to be focused on cutting costs rather than improving the product. ESPP - gone RSU / Equity - gone Fully paid for medical premiums - gone All direct hits to an employee’s bottom line with little to no replacement in return.
