Caution!

Pros

Great benefits, decent pay (at first)

Cons

Be careful when recruiters lure you in with a lucrative comp package, one your non recoverable draw is up a new reality will slap you in the face. Constant restructuring of trams and territories make comp a complete lottery. Youll be lucky to have an account 6 months. EVERYTHING is about public image and ipo hype. The product and customer have been left behind. Arrogance and ego rules here. Employees all wear a smile in town hall, but behind the scenes and 1:1 all are miserable and waiting until the stock lockout to end, then moving on.

I’m bummed to read your review. You’re right - we have made some changes in sales compensation and as we’ve shifted, it hasn’t been perfect. We’re committed to a fair and equitable model for all team members, with sales compensation a big piece of that. I am however surprised by the other feelings in your review. I would like to listen to you and hear more specifics of your experiences. You can always reach out to me through email. - Anita

They don’t care about people

Pros

Unlimited PTO Some of the people here are amazing to work with

Cons

*Extremely high attrition- they are losing good people and make it very clear that they don’t care until they get hoard of complaints and decide to be reactive and focus on hiring (but not retention) *Employees are overworked and underpaid- upper leadership is extremely ego driven and out of touch *They underpay their employees, slash benefits, then spend tons of money on live in-person superspreader events, flying people out, hotels, etc. because their priority is to stroke their egos, meanwhile all their employees are drowning in work but still have to listen to their multiple day long meetings about how great the leadership and company is. *The employees are grossly underpaid. People are burned out and keep quitting, and there is almost nothing they are doing to retain employees. *They micromanage and treat you like children. They require us to log the hours we spend doing tasks all day. *Meanwhile their focus is on hiring and not retention, the current overworked employees have to take time out of their busy days to train new ones, just to get even more burned out. *Upper leadership is the enemy of productivity and fosters a toxic work culture.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. To clarify, our Total Rewards team does extensive research to ensure we are competitive with both salary and benefits. As we continue to grow and evolve (and go from public to private) we also had to evolve our offerings to ensure we remain a strong competitor for talent. We truly do encourage a culture of trust and autonomy but for that to be successful we require team members to take accountability and ownership of their work. While we do have a significant focus on hiring (both new headcount and backfills) we also know that retaining our team members is crucial. I would be happy to discuss these concerns with you and offer any support to improve your experience here. - Will

Pros

The pros at Pluralsight have always been the People and Product. Truthfully, it’s the employees that make this place great. Thanks to the great vision from our product team our product is of the highest quality and many of us feel lucky being able to promote a tool that can truly change people’s lives when they use it to better themselves. Initially, that's what brought many of us to Pluralsight. When we have a product that means something and have the right people in the right position to sell it, success follows.

Cons

The cons at Pluralsight include no compensation structure, no raises, no career development, no internal training, no internal promotions, no organizational stability, big company bureaucracy, lack of transparency, empty words and broken promises, unnecessary growth for growth sake, and a diminishing culture. It’s having a fickle executive leadership team who is too far removed from the day to day. Management and meetings, all day every day who just don’t get it and who don’t see the talent that’s right in front of them. When you have only two internal sales management promotions from within the company within three years this isn't a success but a major miss on their part.
