Pros

- Product really works - Remote work for those who don't reside in the HQ state. There is a catch though, they do not care for the needs and asks of the remote employees as their concerns come second to the folks in person. Most of the time you are an after thought.

Cons

This can honestly be a never ending list but, I will stick to what matters most. You may be hired as an AE but, your responsibilities are those of a SDR/BDR. You are strictly tied to an X amount of dials (Very unreasonably high) and the quality of those dials don't matter one bit. If you are hitting the volume, they could care less about the result at the end of the day but, they still want to see the results at the end of the month. Also, they will tell you to take your work outside of work. They want you to work when you are with your family, out for a walk or if you are at the gym. They want you to substitute their lack of training with an unreal amount of effort. If you don't care about work/life balance, this place is it. You go through a very unorganized, inefficient and useless sales bootcamp which will NOT help you in your daily efforts. They have 3-5 different people running the bootcamp who have no synergy whatsoever. None of them can respond in a timely manner and honestly I don't know if I can blame them because the whole sales org. is discombobulated. They are all tasked to do one too many things and they random days off and meetings are never on time and will without a fail, run late. There is no professionalism at all at this company from attending several company meetings and just going through the sales "training". Employees cursing left and right, making inappropriate jokes and favoritism runs deep in the sales org. They will also bring examples of STAR salespeople who have made an absurd amount of money in a short period of time. Don't be fooled though, these examples are anomalies and not the norm. My direct manager (who wasn't part of the sales bootcamp) never bothered to message me after day one. The "mentors" that he had assigned me never cared to connect. I had messaged all three mentors and they didn't respond to me for days. Mind you, I was only introducing myself and not asking for a favor. Another thing I forgot to add on if you haven't caught on already, their is no standard ramp period as majority of the sales world does. If you can't close a deal and get set amount of "sets", they will get rid of you before you have time to catch your breath. Majority of the folks in the bootcamp just don't make it. They will hype you up everyday and honestly, the hype can only take you so far when their is no training in place. As I mentioned earlier, I could go on and on but, I have tried to summarize my experience in a nutshell. PLEASE save yourself the time and the sanity because this sales org is not worth it. They do not care about you and they are just looking to hire cut throat people and get rid of those who just can't stick to their unbroken process. Until their sales bootcamp/training is fixed, their employee retention in this org shall speak for itself.

Pros

- Good company mission. - Good compensation for Utah. - Company swag is OK (if it's in stock). - Building in Lehi is nice and has stocked fridges, etc.

Cons

- So much attrition at every level (seriously, it's so bad). - Hustle culture is cultivated at the executive level which gets emulated throughout all management. - Some executives seem so self-unaware, it's painful to watch in town halls. - Front end code base is steeped in technical debt that nobody seems to want to address. If you're reading this thinking that you might want to work at Podium, take note of any flags going in. I ignored them thinking I could fix things and ended up staying much longer than I should have only to see things get worse. Your mental health isn't worth it. Podium is beyond hope but they have a ways to go and you can probably find a better gig somewhere else.

Pros

Recognizable company name for your resume

Cons

Poor work culture, overworked hours, slack notifications at all hours. It took me several interviews to even get into the company and the interview process is ridiculously overcomplicated. They don't seem to know what direction they are going and I have had several former employees reach out regarding the reason they left was the toxic work environment. The semblance of diversity is laughable, the company only hires sales guys who have served a mission and are clean-cut white bros. Absolutely no direction for future growth, just building the plane as it flies and riding the news coverage for their displays of greatness. Its a cool product in that everyone should be texting but come on, this is overhyped and the pay is well below industry standards.
