Hard work means nothing

Pros

Nice people. Talented creative team. Fast-paced, gritty environment. Fun product to position. Good place to start your career.

Cons

As someone who thrives off of a fast-paced work environment, Podium will work you hard but *hardly* acknowledge you exist--unless you're a favorite. They won't promote you but will continue to pile on the responsibility while promoting others with less responsibility and less than exciting results. You could stay up until midnight every night working your butt off and receive no acknowledgment. Then, they'll tell you they're considering you for a raise just to string you along. They won't help you progress down a certain career path but will try their best to keep you strictly in your role. Advice to those stuck, go elsewhere. There have been numerous teammates who have left and now make double the amount they were making at Podium. It makes me incredibly sad to say this because I loved my team but ultimately the lack of opportunity, experienced leadership, and equality of pay & stock made me look elsewhere.

A great place to work at... if you're a man

Pros

Podium is a young SaaS company that has proven itself as being a leader in Silicon Slopes. They have awesome benefits like tons of free food, free drinks, stylish swag, and two cool buildings.

Cons

Just taking a look at their VPs, there is no diversity in either gender or race. They say they care about diversity but they are missing the inclusion part. Women are hardly seen in positions of authority or are part of important meetings. The male to female ratio is 85/15. If you are not part of their ideal demographic with respect to religion, race, and gender, you will likely struggle to succeed and advance at Podium.

Much growth exposed poor leadership and poor leadership decisions. Many black bag firings...surprise, your fired. Saw this a number of times.
