Pros

Decent pay, work is not too bad, a bit unpredictable

Cons

They have very exploitive work practices, while working there there I was often completely buried with support tickets and an impossible amount of work to complete. Management rarely did anything to help or make things easier, they always sided with the clients over the technicians whenever it came to any issues. I was working 60-80 hour weeks a lot without any days off just in order to stay on top of things, also was on-call 24/7 and regularly had to cancel plans in order to be sent to other places that weren't even supposed to be my responsibility. When I left the company they were currently cutting everyone's pay while also asking them to work more hours as they as a company were not doing well and the on-site repair services were the only branch of the company turning a profit, I would not recommend them unless you were desperate for work.

Disappointing Overall

Pros

The company offers a decent amount of yearly PTO and the position allows fair work-life balance as a result of being remote. Allotted break times are also fair and working a four-day work-week is extremely welcome.

Cons

The amount of responsibilities we are given is not reflected in our pay and advancement within the company is utterly nonexistent. Personally (and in the case of many others), in nearly three years I've only gotten a single raise, and the company has rescinded on much of what they've promised via the now-scrapped Step Up program (performance-based pay increases) and other performance-related incentives. Meanwhile, we are constantly badgered to take on new responsibilities (usually in the form of new accounts) for which we are often ill-trained and ill-prepared, whether by lack of access to the tools needed to perform our jobs or by lack of proper training from clueless leadership. The work environment is one of absolute stagnation and the lack of support received from superiors is extremely frustrating, to say the least. Health insurance through Pomeroy is extremely lacking, with the company switching providers every year (often for worse ones than the previous year). Like any field related to customer-service, clients are often rude and sometimes downright abusive with little to no recourse from Pomeroy or from the clients' respective companies. Quality Assurance assessments, rather than providing any sort of useful insight or advice, serve only to nitpick the unnatural and often-dehumanizing "scripts" and "nuances". The QA team is blatantly incompetent and will often assign penalties for things that are completely untrue. These errors can be disputed, although with mixed success.
