First and foremost, the training leaves a great deal to be desired. My job was to supervise technicians all over the country, installing Linux-based point-of-sale systems in mall stores. I had exactly 45 minutes of training. If I hadn't had previous experience in OS installation and management, neither a criterion of my hiring, I would have been worse than useless, and frankly my first few weeks I wasn't a lot better. Additionally, the organizational structure is less than transparent - it'll be a while before you figure out who's supposed to be telling you to do what, and who to go to with a problem.
