Pros

Pomeroy isn't the best place to work due to lack of salary and career options. Some people have been here 3+years with no salary increase. There are some very nice and knowledgeable people, but they usually leave as soon as another job comes available. Pomeroy has a hard time retaining employees.

Cons

Management is difficult to work with, and there is virtually no opportunities for growth. The company has frozen salaries and is not longer offering any kind of hiring bonus. It's very common to see people openly looking at Monster job boards during work hours. Over all it's a pretty bad place to work, but it pays more than unemployment.

It's a job I suppose

They have no 401k match. There is no sick leave. They offer no company vehicle. The mileage rate that they pay is from over 20 years ago. They force you to be tracked even in your private vehicle. Manager's micromanage everything even when they have no clue what you are doing in the field. I was actually excited to start working for this company unfortunately that has turned into disappointment.

The tech side of this job is so good as you will learn something new everyday, Alot of room to grow but not from the current company as this company is dead end, however the environment you are in will allow you to branch off to different fields.

Cons

The micromanagement in this environment is unreal, too much control for a deskside position, you are responsible for basically anything they want you to do. Forget what you signed up for, its always more and they always expect more from you without providing or even considering you for a raise
