Pros

Workers are good and decent people trying very hard to make things work without necessary support.

Cons

No opportunity for professional advancement or promotion without leaving the company. I left and improved my pay by more than 18K in less than 1 week. No respect for rank and file by GMs and VPs who keep the CEO in the dark. It is sad and I feel bad for him - he is a good man but doesn't get out and interact with his employees much. Failing major programs due to bad management and lack of resource support by GMs. We did not have QA/QC on programs and our deliverables were often late. We were ALWAYS playing catch up and begging for forgiveness from the customer. No respect for women by senior leaders (all male). Dishonest CBDO - driving the company into the ditch. Working here is like an abusive relationship - you need a job badly - so you will endure the beatings - when you try to leave they lure you back with the promise they will treat you right "this time" eventually your soul is crushed and you move on.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your experience at Pragmatics. We strive to provide a positive work environment and we certainly do not condone abusive behavior. Our open door policy encourages employees to meet with executive management, including our CEO, to identify and resolve issues such as the one you mentioned. I would like to discuss the issues with you so we can try to prevent undesirable situations from happening in the future. If you would like to meet with me and/or our CEO, please let us know.

Pros

Many of the employees are knowledgeable, and Alexandria is a great work location: Metro is a few blocks away and there's plenty of great lunch spots.

Cons

Every contract I've worked on or even seen here ends up being shorter than advertised. The client seems to enjoy playing the field when it come to contracts, and Pragmatics seems to lack the networking stills to pick up continuing work. They also seem to hire on speculation, so if get an offer, make sure the contract is locked in first.

Thank you for your flexibility on work assignments. Our intent is to hire employees into the company for the long haul and not just for a single, specific project. While at times our clients make adjustments, I feel we do a reasonably good job of anticipating change and reassigning our folks.
