I've fallen in love daily with this job
Pros
PTR has an incredible Executive Team that is transparent and empowers its employees to do their best work. All execs are principled people who know what success looks like (because most have been there/done/seen that), and they know how to lead effectively to get the team there. The company is truly mission-driven and execs live the company's values. Work-life balance is unmatched. Feels more like a well-oiled machine with data-driven decisions and a people-first approach. This is a first-shift company. The parking lot is cleared by 5:15 daily. The company is in good health financially and incredibly financially responsible. Work is largely asynchronous via Microsoft Teams, so, you generally won't find you're in meetings that aren't needed/could've been emailed. There is largely mutual respect for the different time zones everyone works in. With a new location opening in Texas, and remote workers, it's very flexible. PTR is a company is comprised of people who want to take ownership of what they work on. Everyone puts in a great deal of effort to help each other out; this even happens cross-departmentally. There are tons of huddles and collaboration.
Cons
Standard hyper growth pains, but the team is great at navigating these really well. The biggest con is that I now have a VERY high bar set for how any future employer operates.
