Pros

Same shift every day which is nice. I can plan a personal schedule around my shifts. My manager helps as much as she can. Pleasant work location in store. The associates are very welcoming.

Cons

There really aren’t incentives for strong performers (i.e. bonuses, spiffs) which is disappointing when you have a strong sales month. A contest was held prior to Christmas for the Sales Specialists if a national goal was met which would open the door for a spiff if the Sales Specialist met his/her individual store goals. The results, whether good or bad, were not shared with the specialists. The lack of communication on this was very disappointing. The medical benefits for full time are too expensive resulting in going without coverage. Professional growth potential is very limited and higher level managers emphasize how you really have to go out and “earn” a promotion. Communication is primarily in the form of group chats with limited live conversations between team members.
