Pros

Working from home No dress code. Company provided equipment Talking to Aussies Decent ability to transfer to different departments as long as your all important stats are up to par.

Cons

We are expendable and treated as such. Promised benefits during the hiring process were not actually for AU reservations - only north american reps. The "free" cruise doesn't exist - in addition to jumping through all of the company hoops to get the time off and cruise at the same time-you have to pay hundreds in taxes, fees, port expenses, and auto gratuities. Reaching anyone in HR is a joke. Reps located in AK but, on paper out of Seattle, are paid smaller AK wages and not entitled to same benefits. Direct management seems to be promoted based solely on years of service not on actual merit or knowledge. Management's management could NOT care less about us. When we try to address issues, they are ignored or downplayed. If we try to go to a higher authority we are reprimanded. Supervisors focus too much on small, inconsequential metas instead of stats that matter. Employee suggestion options were taken away, our input does not matter unless it benefits the company. AU reps are in this forgotten land where we take the AU calls - but we do not get the benefits that AU reps get. We are located in the States, but do not get the benefits that States reps do. There is a reason we call ourselves Team Red Headed StepChild.

Pros

Close to home, ability to travel, good benefits. 9/80 work schedule. Casual attire work weeks. Cruise discount benefits including friends and family.

Cons

Not the same company it once was, once Carnival Corporation and Holland America started to influence it more and more.
