Pros

Overall team environment. Health and cruise benefits, 401k and 9/80 work schedules in most departments.

Cons

Rogue managers with personal agendas and lack of interference from senior management keeps a low morale. Promoting people who do not possess the skills to effectively develop a team is also an issue.

Pros

Free unlimited coffees and cappuccinos

Cons

Supervisors offer little support or guidance but VERY quick to point out mistakes and makes one feel less of a person. Benefits suck. They take out a lot out of our paychecks. The pay is terrible. For the type of work we do, the pay is minimal. It should be at least $17 per hour to start. Makes us work so hard dealing with unpleasant travel agents, most of them think that they are above us and they can abuse us. On top of that, supervisors rarely step in to ease to situations or correct the situations. They are just there to look for employee conducts or mistakes. They are quick to give write-ups or warnings. One time, I put the call on hold because I really needed to go to the restroom. I was gone for less than 2 minutes and my supervisor was waiting for me by my desk and angrily asked me where I was. I told her that I badly needed to go to the restroom. She said, "you cannot go until the call is finish". I told her if should start wearing adult diapers to work. She did not respond, I guess that meant YES. It was so degrading. Since working there, I have to take medications for panic attacks. I'm supposed to take ONE a day but most of the time, I take 3 a day. It's not right. My anxiety is to the roof.

Great People / Terrible Pay

Pros

Princess does an amazing job at finding positive, hard working people. The product is also one that I can stand behind and be proud of. Jan is a great leader and has been very open to changing outdated ideals and focusing on the needs of a business in a very fluid market.

Cons

The company makes a lot of money, but does not invest in its people. There are meetings with Executives every year that every employee is invited to where they talk about how much profit is coming in and how we are doing an amazing job. Yet every year when discussing benefit changes HR has to prepare a statement about how our pay isn't on par with other companies because we have great benefits (even though other companies have the same benefits we do) It would be one thing if there was a 1-5% difference in salaries vs. the same positions within the industry, but in most cases there is a 5%-20% gap. Negative attrition is quite high as you move up the ladder because people use the company for experience then move on to a company that is willing to invest in good people.
