      Another Private Equity Mess

      Pros

      You can get some cyber security experience and they give you a $15 stipend for lunch

      Cons

      Most reps won’t close a deal in the ME space for 6+ months, and when they finally close a deal, it’s usually $30k or less, not even scratching the $100k quotas.

      Great before Thoma Bravo

      Pros

      Great product, best in breed technologies. Great people to work with.

      Cons

      Unrealistic expectations for Commercial sales post TB acquisition. Gary Steele and Ashan were amazing CEO's. New CEO Sumit is a huge downgrade. Lack of upward mobility into Named Account sales. Some managers will take a chance on you if you've performed well. Most will not, even if you make president's club multiple times - it's almost as if they look down on Commercial reps.

      Headed in the Wrong Direction

      Pros

      The leadership under Ashan Willy was excellent. They valued people, had open communication, and cared about the team.

      Cons

      The decision to shift Support to lower cost countries is a mistake. Proofpoint is at the top of the market segment for cost. But providing cheap support doesn't fit the premium expense.
