Everything. I've worked for many companies in my life, with this one being the bottom of the barrel. While the company is fairly new, starting in 2010, that doesn't dismiss the fact that their work structure, pay system, and reimbursement methods are terrible. There are companies which have been around for less than 6 months with better models than this one. I seriously do not know how a doctor could take money out of their own paycheck to hire this company with how poorly it's run. If you want to be a scribe, I highly encourage you to work for a different company, preferably a local one.
Here are some of the issues with this company.
- The training is incredibly poor, and much of it does not relate to what you will actually be doing in the doctor's office you work for. It includes hours of videos from Windows 95 which you do not get paid to view, but which you have to view and study for.
- You do not know who your manager is, what you are doing, or when your job starts as there is no guidance or structure.
- Have to pay for your uniform out of pocket with no help from company.
- Company does not pay you for your training. Hours of tests, videos, studying, etc. none of which is paid for.
- Tests require you to have the knowledge of a medical doctor before starting.
- On site training is just as poor, with scribe trainers being scribes who have little-no experience with the company.
- Will cut your days and schedule without notice or reimbursement.
- Will send you to different doctors without notice.
- All for $9 an hour
