challenging but chaotic

Pros

highly varied and project-oriented work; lots of things to learn about; good way to diversify your portfolio, resume, and skill set; possibility to work remotely

Cons

toxic culture, customer-always-right attitude; highly siloed and isolated departments/divisions; experience at company highly dependent on which department/division you're in; management constantly moving the goal posts, piles on work, and deadlines are more important than quality/staff needs; says they are competitive with market rates but don't practice what they preach; lots of rhetoric about coworkers being family, but it's a ruse to overwork and underpay

We appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns. While no one would claim Prowess is perfect, we pride ourselves on providing a supportive, collegial environment for our employees while presenting high-quality deliverables to our clients. In fact, we recently completed an employee survey that demonstrates the majority of our employees have had a different experience at Prowess than yours. The world of technical consulting is competitive and isn’t for everyone. We have worked hard to create a positive company culture. Our most successful employees thrive on the fast pace and sense of urgency that our client deliverables often demand. In the face of that pressure, we work diligently to accommodate and support each employee’s individual needs. We have worked hard to create a culture where our employees are valued and feel empowered to be successful and grow. We apologize that this was not your experience while you were on our team, and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Thank you for your feedback. Pros

Prowess is really a great place where people with lots of different kinds of skills have the chance to work on challenging projects with many of the world's leading technology companies. Lots of modern workplace benefits including good IT, some free food and beer. Many, but not all, have tremendous flexibility.

Cons

The work is very challenging and clients can be very demanding. Clients are either remote and have associated communication challenges or they're in your face.

Started great, ended badly

Pros

They were good with letting people telecommute.

Cons

Once they got a high end Microsoft contract, management stopped advocating for the team members. If you weren't on board with everything the client wanted, no matter how you were being treated, then you were in danger of losing your job, even if your performance had been stellar on past projects.
