Pros

vacation time is nice. 3 weeks.

Cons

They are a complete disaster . They hide behind what Purolator Courier of Canada does and pretends that they have the same beliefs. They may be the parent company but you get nothing from the parent company. All of the technology and services that makes Purolator good in Canada does not cross the border. Purolator USA is a backwards company that is still in the 1990's in business approach and technology. They hire people that have no idea how transportation works and puts them in charge. They have no idea of how sales should work and they should reward people. The put ops in charge of sales and then send ops managers out on sales calls.

Pros

Purolator USA has very good benifits and upfront compensation package. Most all the the direct sales manager are extremely talented and well versed in both the supply chain industry, as well as the art of consultative selling. They will be tough on you as a rep, but if you follow the rules it will turn you from an amatuer order taker into a professional selling machine!

Cons

Senior management is a disaster. While there is much talent in the company, there is also blatent corruption within the ivory tower. The president has hired many of his personal acquaintences for executive level positions they are not qualified for. If you shine the light on a problem that would prove one of his crew is not doing his/her job, you WILL be targeted for termination. If they have to choose between losing a client or reprimanding one of the politically connected management executives...they will risk the client and if lost, exterminate the salesperson. Be careful to play the internal game as well as you sell!
