Integrity Matters

Pros

Flexibility in work location because they are desperate to stop the bleeding of employee departure.

Cons

There is a lack of integrity that stems from the founder, Brian Winter. He is a self proclaimed marketing guru, but in reality, he has grown the company on the backs of his employees. He has sent business to Pyxl from other companies that he worked for which is a complete conflict of interest, and he did so to benefit his personal financial position. Be careful what he promises, the only promises that he keeps are the ones that benefit him, and his "chosen ones". The leaders are egotistical and untrustworthy.

Thank you for providing your feedback! As with any marketing agency, and any business really, we do have some turnover (both addition and subtraction). While we're sad to see someone leave, we're also proud to see where they are going - whether to manage a team in-house or work locally in a new state. Something to consider though, our turnover rate from the last quarter was 6% (3 of 50), and we've added a new CEO, COO and head of Design to continue and amplify Pyxl's positive growth trajectory. Another core truth of our industry is that most new business stems from a personal relationship, both past and present. However, if you have concerns please bring them up to a person who can help address/resolve them (i.e. manager, leadership team, etc.). We would be happy to talk it through.

BEWARE- Immoral Quagmire with Non-compete!

Pros

It's hard to find something to put here but I'll go with "Sometimes you have to know darkness in order to appreciate the light."

Cons

Management tries to actively trap people into staying, sending threatening letters to other agencies in the area reminding them of Pyxl's non-compete agreement. Despite that, everyone left because they realized the "rocket ship" "growth opportunities" at Pyxl are limited to those interested in a non-traditional ride, disgusting 80% of their staff and resulting in a mass departure of so many people, they've had to 'rearrange the desks' again, removing an entire section and replacing them with sofas. (Are you going to believe them when they say they needed a THIRD client entertainment area?) People would rather be unemployed then work for Brian Winter (owner) and Managers who don't even save the talk until the locker room and who blatantly disregard conflicts of interest and reward inappropriate behavior. Ask about getting promotions in the Communication's Department! Red Flag - When only one person submits for a huge promotion in a marketing world where competition is fierce everywhere else, you know something's wrong. They clearly have an initiative to raise their Glassdoor reviews and you can bet it's not with actual improvements.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I'd be happy to respond to your points: -Non-competes. Like most agencies, we have non-compete agreements that our employees sign when they decide to join our team. It really isn't that unusual. When employees leave, we remind them of the agreements they entered into when deciding to work at Pyxl. We're really no different than any other company in our industry, or most companies that are in industries where their business is their people. -Office decor. We enjoy rearranging our offices time-to-time. It's Spring, so it's a great time to do it! We've recently done that in Nashville and in Knoxville. In both cases the decision was employee driven and we facilitated making that happen. You no longer work here, so we're not sure why you're upset about our teams moving their desks around? -Promotions. We've had several employees receive promotions in the last year, including several this calendar year. The Communications Team, specifically, has had three promotions in the last 30 days. It is our fastest growing line of business and we’re proud of the team we have and the amazing work they do. We're sorry if you weren't able to fulfill your career aspirations while at Pyxl, but we're confident that many of our employees today are experiencing career growth and promotions that rewards their hard work. -Personal issues. Again, we recognize you may have not have had the experience you wanted while at Pyxl. We also recognize your post appears to be more of a personal issue with the owner, than anything else. Our owner doesn't shy away from making tough decisions when it comes to what is best for the company, even when those decisions aren't popular. However, he is known for helping out employees in times of need, even when no one else knows about it. We've been around for 10 years and we have a lot of happy employees and customers. Just like anything in life, sometimes things don't work out, but we all move on and pursue other interests.
