Pros

Q2 in Minnesota offers much less than national (and even their own internal HR plan) average. If applying for any position with Q2 Software in Minnesota, plan for your wages to be a good 20k a year less than everywhere else in the country doing the same job. This employee has been stupid enough to work at this company for many years, this company has not provided a pay raise for 4 years and not even a cost of living raise. Now I am looking for a new employer because this position with no coat of living has made it to where a full time employee cant afford to pay a standard living. Its about poverty level. Also state medical benefits are better than offered by Q2. If you want to be treated poorly, for substandard and non competitive salary and benetift, this company is well recommended! Apply today, you can make 60k a year after 10 years of faithful service.

Cons

Pay. You will NOT make enough money to feed a family or even yourself. Do not ever plan to afford a home either. Do not get sick and need benefits because youll pay a ton in OOP Max.

Pros

Solid benefits structure Unlimited PTO Stable pay Flexible work arrangements in some roles

Cons

Return to office is punitive and unjustified Culture has become increasingly impersonal and transactional Release cycles are unpredictable due to last-minute decision making and constant changes late in the process Planning is often reactive instead of proactive, creating unnecessary stress and rework Leadership emphasizes alignment over critical thinking; those who fully agree and do not push back are more likely to be rewarded Constructive dissent is discouraged, which limits innovation and trust Career advancement feels arbitrary, with few meaningful incentives to grow or take on additional responsibility Layoffs and role eliminations have created ongoing uncertainty When employees leave or roles are eliminated, work is frequently shifted offshore rather than reinvested in remaining teams Cost reduction appears to be prioritized over long-term team stability and knowledge retention Morale has declined as decisions increasingly feel driven by efficiency and optics rather than people Leadership routinely ignores employee feedback, implementing optics-based changes rather than meaningful ones
