Pros

Money, work from home, free snacks, coffee, soda and nice soccer seats. Of course you also meet good people like most organizations. Challenging industry as the pace of technology expectations and changes will always run faster than the desired quality the banking industry expects. It was always fun to start every week with that challenging race ahead of you.

Cons

Unfortunately, apart of Q2’s leadership culture adheres more to the rank and yank philosophy camp than the set tough but fair goals, equip and coach people to hit them camp. You can do well there for sure, but know where you are ranked in their confidential leadership eyes only 9 box rating system. If you are in the wrong box, say so and ask for expectations needed to achieve to meet your own goals. Amazing how you can surprise people with your potential if given the chance.

Pros

Stable source of a paycheck, and occasional knickknacks tossed out to the minions. HR tries, but they won't and/or can't do anything if you end up with an awful manager or team. Some teams are lucky, others are not, similar to other companies this size. There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy meetings if you don't like doing actual work during the workday.

Cons

Cons mentioned in other reviews are accurate. Comments about clueless management, "typical corporate trap", "masters of corporate doublespeak", micromanagement, red tape, "being able to hire good people but not keep them", are some of the points that should be emphasized. Make no mistake about it, Q2 is largely a fear-based workplace culture, at least under Hosting. The prevailing management philosophy feels more outdated than the technologies used, like most other businesses in the financial space. Other places just might not be as good at disguising it. Be very wary of manipulative, deceptive, and sycophantic management. If the hiring manager or their manager wins awards for their employee survey (internal popularity contest), consider that any prior dissenting opinions either jumped ship or were fired, leaving behind only those too afraid to speak truth to power. The level of employee monitoring used, especially on some roles, is worrying. Website blocking&logging, screen&keyboard logging are used. If you're thinking about interviewing here, be sure to ask explicitly about negative aspects of the team, org, and company. If the interviewer dances around the question or answers with a dismissive platitude, press for facts. If you get a straight answer, you might either be in luck, or may be getting lied to (see above: "corporate doublespeak").

Pros

Good pay and some flexibility.

Cons

Outright lied during the interview process about the job and position, was nothing as promised. Morale is so low in the development teams it is seriously depressing. Work is incredibly boring. Upper management is not honest, in a meeting with a potential massive customer, leadership literally lied in front of them multiple times and didn't even blush about it.
