      QVC - just another company not an industry leader

      Pros

      It's a job not a career, what else can be said.

      Cons

      No advancement or opportinuties to expand a persons career in other areas of the company. QVC has had a big retirement of upper / senior management. New management has no clue what is going on nor do they care. People are not a concern anymore. This is too bad for a company that counts on people to take orders and interact with the public.

      Pros

      Good benefits - decent salary - 401K - working with wonderful vendors and guests.

      Cons

      Management incompetence. Favoritism. Self-promoting people who don't ever look at the big picture, they just want to worry about themselves and gain favor and more people under them.

      "You'll only see this on QVC" Then why are all our items at CVS, Hallmark, Walmart,..and at really low prices!!!???

      Pros

      The benefits are good, but I keep gaining dependants somehow on my paychecks?

      Cons

      You have to argue over your paycheck being incorrect all the time and I somehow keep gaining dependants!! Who is running payroll?! I always have to hear from customers that they can find all this stuff at CVS or the "As Seen On TV" section of other stores or even Hallmark stores cheaper. QVC actually thinks that anyone can easily sale items that are broken and missing parts. I think it is bad to hear when I first started with the company that everyone here are already looking for other work; There is very little job security and zero communication from management.
