It is honestly a surprise that this company is still around
Pros
QLess has tons of talented and very nice people, and honestly I have learned a lot when I was here. My best moments of working at QLess are honestly the time I was not there. QLess has an unlimited PTO policy which is something you need to put up with a lot of the nonsense going on at the company. The only other good thing I can think of is the product at its core is actually a very interesting idea, but poor management is going to be the end of the platform.
Cons
Working at QLess has been an experience to say the least. QLess is a company where there is an amazing product at it's core, but is completed wasted with the level of mismanagement. I want to start by talking about the state of the core product. The core application is riddled with issues. The application constantly goes down leaving its customers to scramble while the application is brought back up. When QLess works it works very well and things are perfect, the only issue is, more often than not, it does not work. This leaves people who work in customer success or sales to face the brunt of the angry customers reactions. Management keeps low level staff out of important meetings and make decisions without consulting the team. We often find that people are being hired, or fired moments before it happens. Because of this, turn over is exceptionally high. Many of the smart and talented people leave because it is not worth the stress. Staff are underpaid well below market rates, there is constant talks about raises, bonuses and promotions, but these things never come. Overall, even if the company makes you an amazing offer with the promise of high compensation, high level of product ownership, and unlimited PTO, you can find something better. It is not worth the stress and toxic environment.
