      Employment, at least for a while.

      Cons

      The company relies on acquisitions and staff cuts to stay profitable. Foster City management place no value on satellite office personnel.

      Good starting job, but don't stay too long

      Pros

      - Good first job - They like to just throw you in, which can be a very good way to build experience fast - If you can back it up, you can make a difference in how your team operates - Room to get promoted fast - Amazing and smart employees - Work life balance is possible on the right team - Great if you have a supportive manager - but not always the case

      Cons

      - Low pay: negotiate when you first start - Fast promotions, but low raises - Laptops are older than you, this is a major problem. Buy laptops made in this decade not in 1990s! - No 401k match - Engineers need to be valued more - Tech is EXTREMELY out of date - There are HUGE slackers that the hard working employees have to make up for, but yet all are paid and valued the same. - Some teams desperately need more headcount to manage the workload, but cries for help are ignored
