Pros

They rope you in with good benefits, dirt chap health insurance and good salary, bagels, soda, and coffee.

Cons

This company is the absolute worst company I have ever worked for! I worked in the Home Services division and there is absolutely no way that they are even going to come close to matching their competition with their less than lackluster strategy. There is absolutely no branding whatsoever, and there are also no inbound marketing initiatives whatsoever. Making the transition from an employer that had a future to QuinStreet was the absolute worst move I made in my career to date. In addition, my supervisor was by far the most incompetent individual I had the displeasure of working for.

Pros

They might hire you and any job is better than no job...maybe

Cons

The company breads a toxic work culture producing frustrated, over-worked, and frequently leaving employees. Senior management has a penchant for hiring consultants away from the likes of Bain or McKinsey to run their verticals and/or take leadership roles. Many of whom have learned during their consulting gigs to talk a good game and justify their existence but lack real understanding of the business. QS provides these managers a practice field on which to flail until such a time they figure out what they are doing and leave for better companies and work environments. As mentioned this company has a very high employee churn rate leading to inconsistent focus/vision as well as of-course disruption. Frequently, the duties of the people leaving are piled onto those remaining b/c the company is not in a secure enough finiancal state to hire replacements. No-one seems to want to stick around very long once they see how things are run here. This includes me.

Pros

learning more in-depth SEO/SEM skills.

Cons

It's very compartmentalized and not very transparent. The culture is extremely bizarre and the company simply does not give people the tools they need to get their job done. It does not feel like a silicon valley company but it's like working for an uptight company on the east coast.
