Toxic burnout culture

Pros

Decent pay. The company as a whole is positioned well for equity upside if you can tolerate the toxicity.

Cons

There are far to many to list. For prospective employees - don't chase the money unless you really need to. This place defines toxic. The small groups of leaders have been in place 15+ years and push all accountability to new talent. Turnover is through the roof. Half of it is because people quickly understand the bait and switch when they join the company. The other half is because the company 'restructures' and redefines internal originations to accommodate poor leadership, p&l management and overall lack of common business sense. Resourcing chases the shiney new toy and strategy isn't even a word the company comprehends. High levels of c-suite micromanagement on all levels across all businesses. Your expected to be available 24/7. I took calls from the CTO on Sundays, worked until midnight - often, because my manager was only available to speak after hours and was gaslit about compensation increases and position promotions. The reality is, new comers aren't welcome here, neither are opinions or questions. This is a 'yes-person' company. Do not bring creativity, ideas for improvement, or outside thinking.

Poor Company... Avoid

Recommend

Pros

They offer a small bonus. They offer unlimited PTO. (Though good luck being able to actual take it as they will just pile on work when you're OOO)

Cons

I can stress enough the need to avoid this company. I was paired with a boss who was extrememly poor at explaining things, lacked any understanding or empathy for employees who fell ill with COVID, and piled on the work with little explanation on how to do the work. I was then terminated with little warning (no PIP) and little explanation.

Lack of Transparency, Does Not Value Employees

Pros

PTO and good culture between coworkers

Cons

Management does not respect the efforts of their employees. They do not reward hard work and dedication. They're non-transparent about budgeting, hiring freezes, covid, and countless other things. The company promises many opportunities to employees, which seldom occur.
