I have a good account and am glad to be part of the start up wave.

Cons

Despite the claims of having an "open door policy", I felt, especially in the early months that I have been here, that one cannot really give his or her honest opinion of things without being "marked". Thankful for a co-worker who had the guts to ask an honest question and real issues were really discussed after that.

Inept lower management who are trying to save their high-paying jobs in a dying industry.

Co-workers who are conscientious about their work.

Cons

Inept lower management: dictatorial, condescending, unethical, intimidatory. Quick to reduce work hours for hourly workers when business get slow. 1% raises. No opportunity for career growth (because the industry is dying and people are staying put). Stale atmosphere.

Friendships and people who do care.

Cons

Constant stress for 8 plus hours a day. Waiting to see when someone will have a heart attack or lose it and hurt someone. Would love to know why our plant is stuck with management who are dumber than blocks of wood.
