Pros

Racker Centers is a great example of a mission driven organization with strong leadership and a clear vision. Though the agency is quite large, staff can still feel a sense of belonging as well as independence in their work. Benefits and vacation time are great.

Cons

As a non-profit, they cannot match the higher salaries of schools or the state. Leadership in certain areas of the agency could be strengthened.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback and for your kind words. We are dedicated to creating a positive, fulfilling, and collaborative environment for all our employees and believe that in order to execute our mission, our staff need to be a priority. While it is true that relying on state and local funding does have its challenges, we continue to work tirelessly to ensure every staff member will earn a fair, livable wage. Thank you again for the comments and for your commitment as an employee of Racker!

Pros

Really dedicated staff; working with the residents was fun, inspiring, powerful. The mission is good and when you can stick to it you are really improving people's lives.

Cons

High turnover in the big houses- 10 or 11 residents is too chaotic. More and more complicated medication regimens being overseen by tired & overworked staff. People who put their heart and soul into this company receive no recognition, it's as if management would prefer that you move on after two years. Saw dedicated employees working their butts off - holidays, weekends, overnights, covering other people's shifts- and getting passed over in favor of unknowns from outside the area, not getting training, no hope of promotion.
