Pros

High base pay with average commissions.

Cons

The company is old and family owned, which is great in that they try to take care of employees and promote from within, the problem is there is a lot of favoritism and therefore a lot of unqualified managers in the company. Blame tends to get deflected down regardless of who's at fault. If you are an entry level employee you better have thick skin and be prepared to document your job performance to protect yourself. The expectation is that if you are salaried you WILL work well in excess of 40 hours per week and as a Sales Rep., even though there is a schedule that's supposed to rotate, expect to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The company's internal processes are a mess. You have to receive approval from management for nearly everything you do and will be second-guessed on your schedule and how you prioritize your time on a regular basis regardless of how well you perform. Also, be prepared to spend the majority of your time filling out paperwork and waiting on their ridiculously slow networks.

Bad management everywhere

Pros

Decent pay, fun co-workers, good benefits

Cons

No training, awful upper management only looking at their potential for bonuses. Branch has little or no actual decision making ability. You can't fire anyone even if they are incompetent or stealing from you. You have to send all your good equipment out to other branches and pay to get crap in from other places. Very very badly ran. Anyone that has any respect for themselves or any integrity won't last long here. All the good employees quit within 2 years. The ones that stay...... Well they are the problems.

Pros

Start pay seemed reasonable, benefits are pretty good. Great pay when sent to another branch.

Cons

You are expected to do all the dirty work that no other company will do for such a low rate, even though the corporate sector keeps most of what the customer is charged for services. Workers who work the hardest rarely are recognized or rewarded for their hard work. Pay raises are a joke, because they seem to be given only to the drinking buddies or brown nosers. Moral is low, because workers feel unappreciated and underpaid. The difference between the salesperson's pay and the actual people who do the hard work, is ridiculous. A sales person or management easily makes 6 figures and hard workers barely make $50k.
