      Great Company, if not a developer

      Pros

      Great benefits, company culture and people. Flexible and fun with many, many very intelligent people. Bank holidays, many company parties and events.

      Cons

      Can not get out of their own way. The plan was to build a software team. This plan was moving in the right direction. But the "agency" culture has poisoned the thought process of many leaders. To be successful in software you cannot think like an agency minded leader. I never knew the term bill-ability. I hope to never hear it again.

      Pros

      W2O Is a great place to work if you can read the minds of management and make magic happen without much direction.

      Cons

      Employees who are are not client facing are outwardly frowned upon. The direction of the business is a well kept secret. Executive management very rarely communicates with the company except through the occasional impersonal "employees all" messages. I worked there for years and never could suss out the business model.

      Pros

      Good pay, amazing culture, shining stars everywhere, and there is always an attempt made to have an entrepreneur spirit. If you are a make it happen kind of person, good place to be (if you are on the billable side). Amazing SXSW events that include all parts of the business. Good holidays and flexible schedules. Great entry level to mid level job as a stepping stone for a career. You learn a lot, quickly.

      Cons

      Lots of "who you know" gets you promoted. Work to do on understanding career path and facilitating growth of associates and managers. Small bonuses, not much on office, during work culture. All culture is done after hours. Everything is based on billable value and if you arent billable, you are expendable. Not much loyalty. Everything is diversified so much, there is no accountability. Lots of reactive managers, not a lot of proactive management.
