Pros

The environment was great. I loved the people that I worked with.

Cons

The salary was a big negative. There is also a lot of instability presently that is causing a lot of jobs to go away as well as move to other countries.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad you like your teammates and the environment that we have created in South Carolina. I don't understand the instability comment as it relates to locations of jobs. We plan to be in South Carolina a long time and have invested in the new location which is much nicer (environment) than the old building. We also are not downsizing in in Greenville and have no plans to do so. I sincerely hope you find a position that pays the level that you desire and gives you the professional elements that you are seeking. All the best, Kurt Twining

Pros

Realpage has really come a long way by moving their campus to Richardson from Carrollton where we were spread out over 3 buildings. Having a great place to work means more qualified candidates to choose from and better attrition of great employees. The amenities and benefits are great! We joke that they are making it so convenient to be at work, we will never want to leave and that is their goal. Salary is competitive and most of the people I work with are dedicated and hard working. I enjoy being with my work family. Work/Life balance is great in most aspects, with the exception of working from home. I personally don't like to work from home most of the time, but sometimes it just makes sense. It is either not allowed or high discouraged, even if it is a rare request.

Cons

This appears to be a common complaint on here, but the High Deductible (HD) Insurance for families with chronic health conditions. While I understand the benefit for many people, I don't like that it is my ONLY option. I do take advantage of the HSA account but can't afford to put in the full allowable amount. This means when something urgent comes up, I have to pay out of pocket, which means some bill is not getting paid that month Yes, I live paycheck to paycheck. Good thing I also take advantage of the 401K to save money. I end up putting off getting health care because I don't have the money in my HSA account and can't afford to pay out of pocket at that time. It would be nice if we got the RP contribution to the HSA at the first of the year, with the understanding if we leave, we have to pay back a pro-rated share. I use the money in my HSA account as soon as its available every month. There is never any "extra" for emergencies. While RP has done a GREAT job keeping the lines of communication open and keeping the employees in the loop through weekly emails and the employee portal about what is happening company-wide, I feel like it has gotten worse within my division. While we have 1 on 1's with our managers, I feel like I get very little feedback and have no idea how I am doing in the eyes of management. There have been lots of changes at RP and in our divisoin and we tend to find out about things after they happen through word of mouth rather than proactive announcements. (i.e. - new people added to the group or leaving the group) I am speaking specifically about division related changes, not overall RP changes.

Thank you for taking the time to write a thoughtful post. The move to Richardson has been very exciting and I appreciate your comment that we are making it convenient to be a at work. I'm glad you like your coworkers and you are right there are many very dedicated employees who work here. Now on to communication. We are working very hard to have updated employee portal stories and thank you for noticing. However and I agree with you it does not take the place of 1:1 managerial communications. I would encourage you to ask for more feedback and hopefully that message will be conveyed. The engagement survey is only three weeks away and that will be a time for everyone to share their great ideas and opportunities to improve. Now on to your benefits question, if we self funded all the HSA accounts up front it would be over a $2m case advance and then we would have to go about trying to collect the prorated part from those who term. The plan design on aggregate has the company paying 82% of the medical cost and the employee 18%. Many companies have shifted that over to the employee in a greater number.. Now on to the activities that you mentioned. United Way kicks off in two weeks so watch for daily events that will drive engagement for a great cause. I would love to buy you a lunch if you would be so inclined to tap into your great ideas. Sincerely, Kurt Twining 4016

Pros

Work Hours 6a 3p, short commute, reasonable good salary & benefits.

Cons

Impossible to handle work load, employees are stressed out. very little social contact between employees.Seriously substandard computer software [ for a couple of weeks the automatic withdrawal system took annual payments on monthly payment plans, another time it took 2 months payments instead of 1 month]. Have to deal with a whole lot of hostile, abusive customers. You are dealing with illiterate people making minimum wage or on welfare. These people have your insurance, not because they want it, but because it is mandatory.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad the hours, salary and benefits were agreeable to you. I will reach out to Ed Wolfe to discuss your technology opportunities to ensure that we have that fixed. I and the company certainly believe in respect for employees. In fact, that is one of the highest scores in the engagement survey at 87% positive. I must clear the record, we do not have an employment policy of letting go long term employees to hire lower salaried employees. That is just not accurate. In fact we continue to hire new employees, because our business is expanding. I wish you well in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
