Pros

-Nice campus -Great cafeteria -Cool game room -Gym on-site

Cons

-Extremely cliquey and immature middle management. If you went to highschool with your manager your job is pretty much set. - You do not need a college degree to work here. Most employees and managers do not have one and have only worked menial jobs prior. Hiring non degreed workers allows Realpage to keep the pay scale very low in comparison to other Tech companies. - You are constantly compared to your fellow co workers and your progress is always being tracked. Find a way to make yourself indispensable and suck up to everyone above you and you will be fine. -RP does not drug test. Their workforce accurately reflects that. - Overall sense of unease, a lot of firing goes on, and managers with no interpersonal skills. -Fake importance on employee culture. RealPage will NEVER have a real Tech company culture.

Thank you for your post and pointing out the facilities are a plus. I've studied our implementation teams for over 8 years from my observations there are some really capable people working in these functions. You're painting a picture of a drug culture, menial skills and fake culture. That's very demeaning to those who work hard every day to serve our customers and its just not a true statement. Some of the highest engagement scores in the company are coming out of the implementation areas and for good reasons. The middle managers have gone through professional training called " Lead to Exceed". Do they stay on top of things, of course they do, as these roles have a sequence of activities associated with them. Having said all of that we wish you well with your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Accounting Department is a mess

Pros

Fitness focused Great cafeteria

Cons

The new Chief Accounting Officer came in and really reduced everyone's morale. Hardly any work life balance and everything is manual. The CAO has her favorites and only values their opinion. Lot of senior management in finance, revenue management, and accounting has left. There is no diversity in the upper management. No focus on career growth and employees are not paid fairly. Better chances of getting paid higher if you leave and come back.

Thank you for your post. We appreciate you pointing out some great facilities benefits, but your post is really about the accounting department culture. Your advice is very sound for any function and it will be shared with the Financial leadership team. It would not be accurate to say that there is no diversity in upper management in the Finance Department as 3/6 SVPs are women. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

Team Environment – great resource for questions Advancement possibilities Insurance – discounts! Starbucks in the building Cafeteria in the building Covered parking

Cons

Team Environment- Some people aren’t pulling their share and you have to work harder so everyone is done. Advancement blockage – sometimes you put in an application and get no calls back. Insurance hoops – There are offered discounts but you have to do certain things in order to get them. Starbucks in the building- They don’t offer everything a normal Starbucks does (not a big deal) and they don’t offer Starbucks rewards

I appreciate your post and thank you for being balanced in the review. I did a deep dive on this post as it seemed to be inconsistent with how we would treat someone who loved their job. There was only on person who fit the demographics of this post who was terminated. Its truly unfortunate that it ended after 8 years. Your leadership team had a different perspective on your work and their communication and impact of the work to you. Again, I truly wish this outcome was different and sincerely hope you find the position that you are now looking for. Respectfully, Kurt Twining
