Pros

Learned a lot, provided training documents unbeknownst to me for my offshore counter parts that will do your job for a fraction of your salary, but not nearly as well

Cons

The acquisition gutted this company, they cut my job and now it's off-shore. They said they would help in placing you in the company however, without going into details that would compromise me I will just say it was phony and disingenuous, due to this acquisition all they want to do is cut, off-shore and for those that choose to stay will only have twice the work with no pay increase, hard pass on this place at least till Thoma Bravo sells in a few years (that's thier MO) P. S. Kurt, please don't insult me by giving a worthless response, disappointed in you guys.

Pros

Impressive office, great coworkers, decent pay.

Cons

RealPage was an unfortunate place to work due to the less than smart decision making from leadership. They offer a cliche, sitcom-worthy level representation of corporate America that gets real old, real fast. They push this “RealPage Promise” about being easier to do business with and putting clients first, etc. then practice the polar opposite in an almost deliberate fashion. I find these 5-star, “this is an amazing workplace!” reviews a bit suspect. That type of positive attitude doesn't exist. One of the hardest parts about working at RealPage was the huge void in employee pride and enthusiasm across the company, where no one felt like their contributions were impacting anything meaningful or expressed major satisfaction. In other instances, most were eager to say “no” at every suggestion to make an improvement because “that’s just how things are here," which was the foundation for an extremely gloomy culture. If you join RealPage as part of an acquisition, RUN! Run, as fast as you can. RealPage acquires 3 to 4 competitive businesses a year (it’s easier to buy the competition than make the products more competitive), and time after time it’s the same disastrous story--see Glassdoor reviews in the last 1 1/2 year as references. They’re awful at acquiring businesses, despite how much practice they’ve had, and I don’t suspect they’ll get any better at it.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad you found your co-workers to be great, the pay was decent and the facility which we worked very hard to create impressive. It's unfortunate that your work experience was not up to your expectations. I truly mean that. Fortunately, the vast majority of RealPage employees have a different work experience as our engagement scores are above Fortune's Most Admired. If you want to discuss your suggestions, I would appreciate the time and look forward to hearing from you. Please give me a call at x4016..I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

The team is smart and supportive.

Cons

-Coming up on two years without any real merit increase. (Received a pittance increase after being delayed 6 months, which was insulting) -unfair policy to give sales raises on time but delay everyone else. Hiring continues while they tell us they can’t afford to give us merit increases. Profit soars but we don’t see a dime of it. -Corporate continues to send edicts down from on high that create inefficient and bureaucratic processes, they don’t listen to anyone when feedback is delivered or when suggestions for process improvements are made. Result is the day is spent pushing 100 buttons in the button factory when 1 would accomplish the same task. -For a tech company, the IT services and quality of tech that we use are laughable -CEO is fake. She talks at town halls about how great everything is, but then takes every opportunity to remove benefits, take away merit increases and tighten the purse strings to keep the money at the top.
