Pros

RealPage is real. We have the most superior technology from ease of use to product category. Technology aside, our company is so much more than the products we sell. We are innovators, seeking the latest niche add-on to make our services that much more progressive. We are fun loving- forget a gong- how about a spin on a wheel for $1000 or a trip to Nevis! We are supportive- every market is different and every locality deserves an expert from that area to understand local laws or concerns that may influence their businesses. We are renters and we are Multifamily owners- our employees do own as well but because so many of us actually rent or actually manage property we have a tangible understanding of what could make our clients lives that much better. We are friendly- we want each of our customers and each of their customers to pick up the phone or shoot an email and have a human reply-immediately! From a QAQC perspective we are flawless, not humble but flawless ;).There are zero question marks about the quality of our software and quality of employees. Simply put, we are the Brooks Brothers of PMC SaaS (minus the snootiness.) As a salesperson, we are amongst the most fun and gifted colleagues and support staff out there. We value our accessibility and pride ourselves in our down to earth conversations where honest dialogue is a given and formalities are discouraged- we want to know how to address real needs of real people and real businesses (big or small). We want landlords to be paid as easily as possible by renters who don't have any desire to move and we provide all of the tools needed through cutting edge software to make all of this happen. As an employee, I can brag about our leadership. They are unreal in being so unlike typical buttoned up and deaf leaders. They are on the ground helping touch every deal, fixing hiccups, knowing our names and our families and where we grew up. There is a culture here much like a summer camp for driven adults. The saying is, a happy employee makes a successful company and loyal customers." Check out our stock and you'll see this saying applies to us. More importantly though, as a prospective employee, RealPage has all the bells and whistles of a start up with the added bonus of a meaningful salary. We have weekly meals in the office, an exciting, lively, and supportive culture and better-than-good conference food. Our employees choose to stay extra days after our various conferences to bond with one another and talk shop and everyone is welcomed with open arms to after work events.

Cons

Remote Employees need more invitations to the HQ so that they can feel as united as the HQ team to resources and the culture of the company.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad you are having fun in your role. Your advice is spot on and I will personally discuss with the Sales Leadership. In fact I just discussed your post with John Yager. All the best to you. Kurt Twining

Pros

As a 20 year sales achiever I couldn't be prouder then to work for RealPage. We just finished our annual sales meetings and from the chairman, C executives, and senior management all 350+ attendees were brought together in a unique environment with the focus on our customers. It is rare a company puts this level of focus on their customers. I am excited to see the customer's views in 2016.

Cons

The only negative is parking at our building which is changing when we move to Richardson, Texas in the next couple of months.

Pros

Anyone thinking about working for RealPage read this ASAP. You work 104% of the time you are there. Every two weeks you work 4500 minutes and 300 of those minutes you have a break. That equals 4200 minutes you are on the phone and expected a 95% adherence at least. It's not that i don't like hard work, but when I am constantly having anxiety attacks because team leads are breathing shops down my back makes coming to work dreadful. The quality shopper didn't like me and scores I knew I should have had a high score ended up low. They never have anything positive to say. They treated me horrible. One guy was always watching me and when I told my team lead she can only say she knows him and he's not like that. What? Nevertheless, he wouldn't stop and they looked at me like I was a problem. Besides sexual harassment, I was always followed by the Manager. She couldn't stand me. The team leads are not even helpful. I see them talking to each other more than I see them coaching and helping associates. They laugh and make fun of those beneath them. What kind of an environment is that. My check was not worth the amount of work I put in. I felt like I was chained to a desk. I got so tired of the infraction policy. It is clear they cannot comprehend the fact that employees are humans. They work us like slaves. If you are so ill you cannot make it to work you get an Infraction! I don't even think this is legal. They do not care about people they just care about money. The stress, the headache, the angry callers, the annoying 10 point close, the team leads, the management, the IT department (they can't fix anything it seems) the ungodliness, the anger, the hurt, the harassment, the ambivalence, the take calls until you can't take calls anymore, the forcing me to lie to callers, the don't give pricing until they ask twice, the hold the onsite number hostage until you get there contact information . . .I can say more, but I'm tired. Bottom line I'm not with that. I get home at 6 and wake up 7 to go through the saaaammmme thing everyday. Trust me it's not worth $13.00/hr. I'm going to stay in school get finish my degree. Management are slums. From the way they dress to their lack of professionalism. It's horrendous.

Cons

Do not work there. I was excited to when I started working there because I had a job. Not to bad start pay, but little did I know. The Devil awaits behind training. It's like they paint a false picture of peaches and cream and then lead you into a pack of wolves.

Please call me at 972-820-4016 and lets take a deep dive on your post. We do have a new SVP of the Contact Center. His name is Randy Johns, and he grew up working in professional call centers. He is very professional and has high expectations. Again, give me a call and lets discuss. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
