Pros

Company will do all within its power to satisfy its members. Great camaraderie amongst all employees. Middle management tries to make the most of their working situation.

Cons

Severely understaffed. Employees of some departments are worked to the bone with little incentive. Salaries and overall compensation programs are below markets standards. The company prides itself as a cutting edge financial institution, yet when needed it pulls the non profit category to explain why it cannot pay market rates.

Pros

They provide great service and rates to their members. They also have an excellent benefits package.

Cons

Senior management fails to take heed of employee's concerns and overall well-being. They are more concerned about promoting a falsified profile for themselves to the CEO, than address actual concerns in the corporate office. There is a huge imbalance with work-life; which oddly enough seems to be a topic of discussion with the CEO, but senior management fails to communicate the concerns made by the employees they oversee. Many in the back office staff are unhappy and are seeking other employment opportunities. There is also a lack of concern for overworked staff. It seems as though some senior managers have the persona of: "Look at me; all of my departments are doing so well while working with so little. Aren't I doing a great job?!" Staff is overworked and underpaid.

Pros

Good benefits, holidays- just like any banking job

Cons

Cult-like culture in the organization All or nothing mentality- management does not want you to have a life outside of work and does not respect work life balance. Unobtainable goals set and constant micro managing of staff by supervisors. Virtually zero training- hands on- no training manuals or standards Highly toxic environment, employees unhappy and poorly compensated for their contributions and time given to the company. Mentality is quickly turning into a corporate giant bank- CEO and related VP’s trash talk other smaller local banks in the area. Thinks they are the “best” and so concerned with winning 1st in everything at the expense of the happiness of their employees. It’s great to be first, but make sure your employees are enjoying their time and doing okay. Many are concerned and stressed about losing their jobs monthly due to the unrealistic expectations. Lots of favoritism. If management decides they don’t like you, good luck.
