Pay/benefits is below the industry average and because of that turnover is very high within the company, they also seem to be increasingly using interns to fill the roles of what should be salaried employees. Because turnover is so high, frequently a lot of industry and product knowledge is lost when a person leaves. Communications between departments is often very poor and combined with the high turnover rates and frequent acquisitions the right hand often doesn't know what the left is doing. Promotion from within is something that is highly touted but often not followed through. To be fair to Relias they have added some paths to receive moderate pay bumps for some positions, but starting pay remains low.
My position I would give 2/5 stars. We were a new division of Relias that has extremely little oversight or thoughtful planning with minimal resources (if any) expended on us. Our manager has virtually no knowledge of the product we sell, provides no sales development or training, and is absent from work half of the year on personal matters. Because of a lack of territories, salespeople are better off becoming friends with other departments to ensure they get the easy big pass downs directly to them circumventing the lead distribution process. This sort of behavior seems to be at times actively encouraged by the manager, which causes major resentment among the team that actually follow the rules.
Overall I would say Relias is a good place to work for 1-2 years before moving on to another company that is better developed and offers more competitive compensation.
