Pros

-Fully Remote - Unlimited PTO (they actually mean unlimited can take time whenever) - Work anywhere in the world no questions asked - Base Pay is good depending on where you live - Product Market fit is exceptional - Product Improving all the time - Options may be worth a lot if you stick with it for 4 years (likely will be an exit of some type) - Promote internally - Comp Reviews regularly - CEO is very good compared to others in this space

Cons

-Very few people hitting sales targets. Those that are, are "ranchers" which are hybrids or "farmers" account managers. Those in New Business are not anywhere near hitting. Targets are crazy versus deal size. Best accounts are in a few people's names who are ranchers which makes no sense - New Business AE's have very bad prospects due to poor CRM management - you will not succeed here unless they change things. - Benefits are expensive or simply not good enough. US Employees pay thousands per month for coverage, in other countries the benefits aren't comprehensive compared to working in similar tech companies. - Things constantly change, if you come from an established company you will hate every moment here - Very slow. So hard to get things done cross-functionally. It's very bad for sales, it can take weeks to get things resolved. You ask for help and people never get back to you or just mark a ticket as closed - As it's a remote company, you get people who are lone wolves, have no interest in a team atmosphere, and are just bad people. - 80% of the company do very little work, just post pictures of them working remotely on LinkedIn and their diary is just them having coffee chats with peers and walking their dogs

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. You’re right - working in new business is hard. In the current environment, most companies are paying close attention to costs and are scrutinising every purchase. That said, driving new business is the most critical pillar of our strategy and we must (as you point out) invest in building the data, tooling and capability needed to become really good at this - which is exactly what we are doing. As we invest heavily in our acquisition strategy and all the supporting infrastructure, I expect Account Executives to benefit as those investments yield. As an example, we are adding significant SDR headcount which is dramatically changing the SDR to AE ratio and taking lead generation to the next level. We appreciate you sharing this detailed feedback with us. I also agree with you that we have work to do internally on streamlining our operations to move more quickly, particularly on the most complex cross-functional issues. This is a work in progress. We are investing in scaling our Customer Experience function, which will assist in alleviating some of the operational load from the Sales team. Like you, I’m very optimistic about the outlook for the future of the company. And with the investments that we’re making in supporting new business, I’m equally confident about our ability to unlock a new level of productivity and success in the new business sales organization. Chris, CRO.

Pros

- Above average pay for certain roles - Full flexibility - Autonomy and empowerment to do your own projects and improve things

Cons

- Very poor leadership starting from the very top. It’s very hard to trust them as individuals and as decision makers based on my experience at the company. - Being a remote company doesn’t mean never investing in getting your people together. There’s a total lack of company culture. - Most employees feel trapped due to current environment in tech. If the macroeconomic environment was better people would be leaving at a much more rapid rate. - You are expected to be expert in complex topics without any resources (or messy ones) or formal training. People who supposedly are experts never help you. - Lack of respect of their own values, especially kindness. Have seen people getting fired in horrible ways in the middle of sick leaves for example.

Thank you for sharing your review. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the flexibility and autonomy of working at Remote. As a startup with a team spread around the world, we rely heavily on documentation, asynchronous communication, and ownership as cornerstones of our culture. This allows us to create the flexibility that you mentioned, and provides balance and a deep sense of belonging and connection. It also allows everyone to work at their peak hours of focus, distraction-free. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t have a great experience working here, and wish you all the best!

Pros

Superficial benefits package; fully remote

Cons

1. Toxic culture of micromanagement 2. Unobtainable quotas resulting in high churn & attrition; APAC is always back filling for roles as a result of AEs leaving within 6 months. 3. Lack of cross-functional support 4. Terrible inbound lead flow 5. Overly saturated market 6. Terrible work/life balance; you will be discouraged to take leave, and expected to work at all hours of the day
