Fairly good IF you put hard work into it

Pros

- You can work from home at your own leisure. - You have up to an hour (or 15 minutes if it is a rush order, which you get paid more for) to unclaim a job if you cannot do it. - The transcription is computer generated for you before you start and it is pretty accurate. - The program that you work in can be used on mobile. I use an iPad with headphones and an attached keyboard and I love the fact that I can easily work pretty much anywhere. - Text expanders are a life saver. They save you tons of time.

Cons

- The pay is not so great for inexperienced transcribers. - Unless you are absolutely perfect, it is hard to keep your score up in order to keep your account open. The graders are random people, which creates random results in your grades. You must be extremely careful to get a perfect grade. - As of writing this, jobs are currently tight as thousands of rookies were hired at once for the Christmas season. You have to fight over those thousands in order to claim a job. Even the highest ranks, which receive work before the lower ranks, are having trouble claiming good jobs.

Great product, ineffective leadership

Pros

Rev has solid, useful products that employees love using and selling. People are always willing to help other teams and share their expertise. AI-paired "Donut" meetings in Slack are a great way to meet people across functions. Pay is solid and HR is always available to chat.

Cons

Two big layoffs in 2022, some people even hired back, others let go right after promotions. No warning given to important teams and visible leaders. Partner companies left in the lurch screws up potential high-level renewals. Two key execs are poor communicators and often throw out half-formed ideas in company-wide meetings. Doesn't inspire confidence in a solid direction. New industry verticals are proposed...then dropped in favor of a subscription strategy without any direction behind it. Very disappointing.
