Pros

Get to work with a lot of smart people. Get to work from home all you want, go into the office when/if you want. Get to solve a lot of cool problems, if you express interest in an area you will probably get to work in it. Great culture. Lots of company lunches and happy hours. Good compensation and benefits. Very stable and well funded startup, all the benefits of a startup with none of the downsides.

Cons

Can be easy to work more than you should when working with so many smart people. No 401k match.

Great people with no direction

Pros

Amazing teammates and some truly great managers, love everyone I work with and the environment is really supportive and collaborative.

Cons

Leadership has lost the plot. Almost the entire product org was laid off 8 months after the company laid off 40% of their workforce last October, and the "focus" has changed for at least the third time in the last year; we're now going to build products with almost no product management and no designers. There's some good tech and talented people, but there's zero direction at the top and I have no confidence they'll get it fixed. Also, no 401k match.

Pros

The ability to work from anywhere anytime is really the only positive to working for rev. But so many other companies have this perk, so what really is the point?

Cons

Where to start. The pay is a joke. And it is nearly impossible to "level up". I have had the qualifications to become a "revver plus" for quite some time now, but the second I get there and turn in an assignment I get a 4/5 for no apparent reason, other than inconsistent graders, keeping me at just the revver status. For MONTHS. Every other realm I am well above average. The graders are not consistent. One will say you should do it this way, so I do and turn it in, and the next grader will say I should do it the other way. I tried calling to speak to someone about this ongoing issue and was informed there was no phone line for the actual EMPLOYEES of the company. Only for customers. To me that seems backwards. Without the employees the customers would have no one to transcribe through Rev. Lastly the pay is an absolute joke. You'd have to type at 100wpm to get payed a decent amount, and no one can type that fast. I type at approximately 70 wpm, again well above average, and continue to earn around $6 an hour. What a joke. Do not work for this company if you value yourself, your time and your money.
