Pros

Good old style paternalistic history with a unique capacity to grow and change. Great knowledge and understanding of their business, markets and watchful of trends and opportunities.

Cons

One product determined their market strength and business strategy. In the end that product became something so sought after that they couldn't hold it. Flagship product sold, company sold.

Pros

Excellent place to work. Great Management in Southeast area Fair salary with above average benefits including 401k AND pension Develop good relationships with retailers Company gives you all the tools you need to be successful (car, computer, training, etc).

Cons

I've heard some horror stories of managers who micro-manage and ruin rep's lives, though I never personally experienced it. It depends on the manager. Promotion requires a great relationship with your immediate manager, who is your sole hope of upper mobility. Company sold to competition, so this review is now pointless Company dress-code for sales reps requires you to wear a tie, even in 100+ degree heat

Pros

Good 401K plan through the company 9% by company if 6% by employee. Start with 3 weeks of vacation plus 2 floating holidays and 2 half days per the companies discretion each year; sometimes they add extra days around the year end holidays for employees.

Cons

The culture is changing to be more coaching and leading by the management group, but there are lots of managers who were promoted well before the new standards were in place and its hard to train them to develop people because they are old dogs just winding down to retirement.
