Pros

The benefit package is pretty good for employees who were there before the merger. Not as good for new hires. The physical environment is new, the cafeteria is pretty good, and the parking is free.

Cons

Since the merger with UCS, the watch words are paranoia and old school. No one is trusted by Management. Big Brother is watching everyone. And the company is regressing into using technology from the 1970's (COBOL anyone?). As the automotive industry has slumped, more and more senior people (read higher salaries) are being terminated so they can hire kids straight out of school for much less money. Morale is awful, and more and more functions are being shipped from Dayton to Houston.

Pros

No good reason to work here unless you're in dire need of money...correction very little money. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to work for any reason.

Cons

They hire overqualified individuals to do mindless task with false hopes of professional growth. The amount of a raise doesn't even cover the % of inflation so the longer a person works there the more financially unstable they become. The worse thing is a lot of times you're given a task that has nothing to do with you job description and expected to know how to do it. The company is on a complete decline so many employees are given busy work to take up time as if they were in grade school.

Pros

They will hire college graduates. You'll be under paid but it does give you a job. Because of the low pay, more experienced employees do not seem to be interested in working there. So if you are desparate, this is the place for you.

Cons

Management treats people as if they are machines, objects. The pay sucks, benefits are questionable, demands are high but compensation and recognition are low. As an employee you are nothing but a number, creativity is not appreciated. There are lists and rules for everything, if you work here, don't expect to learn anything or use anything you already learned. I started working in the houston office and it was always pretty terrible. After the take over people in dayton started leaving and what once was a good company is now one you should shy away from. So do yourself a favor and don't even thing about applying here.
