Pros

Professional atmosphere - if you can deal with being watched like a hawk and required to only wear dark colored suits every day and be expected to act like a cookie cutter employee. I was lucky to have a great boss for 7 years, who was the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Camaraderie amongst co-workers Subsidized onsite dining room Learned a few things that were helpful in my next job. The best thing I can say about this company is that their procedures "ran like clockwork." R&R was more organized in that respect than anywhere else I have worked.

Cons

Management protects management and ignores EEOC. Prejudicial towards recent male graduates of A&M University. Employees are immediately pegged as to whether or not they are 'promotable.' If it is a YES, then they are groomed for success and advancement. If they have not advanced within a reasonable amount of time, they are 'encouraged' to look elsewhere for employment. Was once told by a Senior Manager that the company prefers NOT to hire UT or Rice graduates because "We don't want free thinkers here. We want people who follow directions." Just wondering - is the 'unspoken' rule still in place that only upper level employees are allowed to use the elevators? In short, management is a 'good ole boys' club that treats itself very well and its employees like slaves..

Pros

Reynolds was my first job out of college, so it provided a cushion to pay student loans but certainly not much else.

Cons

- If you are not well liked by management, you will be fired. The grounds they give you will be bogus and will begin with "it was reported to us by another member of management..." and will be followed by an accusation that they will not allow you to rebut. They do not look into these accusations, they act on them. - I hired in 3.5 years ago 6 to 7 grand less than what new hires for my position are offered today. The raises don't offset the increase in salary for new hires, so chances are your trainees will hire in making more than you. - If you apply for FMLA, you create a target on your back. Your management will seek to find things wrong with your performance to get you fired even if you are a top performer on your team.
